The 11th NY Regiment, United States Volunteers-America (USV-A) welcomes all honorably discharged U.S. veterans and patriotic individuals over the age of 18 who are dedicated to honoring those who serve. The 11th New York Regiment is an Authorized Provider - Level III of Military Funeral Honors, recognized by the U.S. Department of Defense through the 99th Reserve Support Command, Fort Dix, New Jersey. As part of the United States Volunteers-America Inc., a nationally recognized Veteran Service Organization (VSO), our members operate with professionalism and accountability, ensuring that every mission is performed with dignity and respect.
WHO WE ARE
Founded in 2005 as the 2nd New York Brigade, the 11th New York Regiment has a long-standing tradition of service to the veterans and communities of New York City and Long Island. Our Regiment provides support to Military Honor Guards from all branches of service at both private cemeteries and national cemeteries, offering firing parties, buglers, and ceremonial escorts

Our Color Guard teams represent the USV-A in a wife variety of public ceremonies, including parades, memorials, and special patriotic events hosted by American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars posts, municipal agencies, and other veterans' organizations. Members of the Regiment actively help foster public awareness of military service and sacrifice while preserving the rich traditions of the U.S. Armed Forces.
WHO WE SERVE
Membership is open to honorably discharged U.S. veterans and patriotic individuals over 18 who are committed to supporting military traditions. Our members serve as non-paid professionals, responsible for their own uniforms, ceremonial equipment, and transportation to and from events. An initial membership fee and annual dues help sustain the Regiment and its operations.

​Monthly drills are held the First Saturday of every month at:

During drills, members receive hands-on training in:

​Ceremonial rifle drill and firing party protocol
-
Flag folding, presentation, and ceremonial etiquette

Color Guard procedures and protocol
-
Standard Operating Procedures for Military Funeral Honors

Government-approved firearms safety courses and other specialized training as required by USV-A National Headquarters

Through this training, members gain not only technical skills but also the discipline, camaraderie, and sense of purpose that come from serving a respected veterans' organization.
REQUIREMENTS & UNIFORMS
The USV- A uniform is a modified U.S. Army uniform featuring distinctive insignia. Buttons do not display the Great Seal of the nation.
Veteran members may wear ribbons and awards earned during military service, regardless of branch. The uniform is authorized for ceremonial duties, training, meetings, and conferences only. Members are responsible for purchasing and maintaining their own uniforms, ensuring proper presentation, and adhering to Regiment standards.
