ABOUT THE UNITED STATES VOLUNTEERS-AMERICA

The United States Volunteers-America (USV-A) traces it heritage to Teddy Roosevelt’s Rough Riders, the last volunteer cavalry unit to serve in U.S history. Officially called the “United States Volunteers,” the Rough Riders proudly wore USV as their collar insignia-a legacy that continues today.

Troopers are trained and certified in accordance with AP3 and TACOM regulations.
We use only ceremonial rifles adapted for blank ammunition.

Modern USV-A troopers wear a modified U.S. Army uniform featuring distinctive insignia, buttons that do not display the Great Seal of the Nation. Our uniforms are fully complaint with AR 670-1, chapter 30, in accordance with regulation governing military association.
